Dean Jones is an interior designer specialising in retail design. He graduated with a Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) from the University of South Australia in 1993.

Dean’s local and international experience has included positions as Retail Design Manager for Westfield Limited Australia, National Concept Design Manager for McDonald’s Australia based in Sydney and European Design Director for McDonald’s Europe based in the Paris Design Studio. During his time with McDonald’s Dean Jones was instrumental in the development of the McCafe worldwide implementation and setting the interior/exterior architectural direction for the worldwide store network.

In 2006 he made the decision to move back to Australia where he divided his time between Adelaide and Moscow working for Coffee House as the Design Director for Russia.

More recently he has joined Colonial First State Global Asset Management as Retail Design Manager working on the revitalisation of the Chadstone SC in Melbourne and Chatswood Chase SC in Sydney.

Dean Jones has received numerous awards and has been invited to speak at international conferences including the European Networking Group’s Design Summit in Barcelona 2004, and Amsterdam 2005. Dean Jones’ work has been published in national and international design journals including Domus, Frame, Wallpaper and Inside.
